This Friday, November 24, is the day some bargain hunters wait all year for - Black Friday. We asked people in Ipswich what they thought of the discount day.

On Black Friday, shops across the country reduce their prices for 24 hours.

Black Friday is a day we have adopted from America - it traditionally follows on from Thanksgiving.

Retailers normally stay open later or open earlier with special discounts to encourage customers.

However, shoppers have been warned this year that the deals are often no different to other times of the year.

A survey carried out during last year’s promotion found more than half the deals at major retailers were the same or better, months either side of the event.

The day is known to cause chaos, with customers fighting over products. Because of the trouble caused supermarket Asda hasn’t taken part in the day for the last two years.
