With the Suffolk Show only eight days away we have put together a guide of everything you need to know about the two-day event.

When: May 30 and 31

Where: Trinity Park, Ipswich

Opening times: The gates open at 7am and the last entry is 5.30pm. All tradestands are open from 8.30am until 6pm on both days.

How much are advance tickets?: From May 19 to May 29 adult tickets are £25, senior citizens are £22, and a young persons ticket (15-18) is £9, under 15’s go free.

Where can I buy advance tickets from? You can buy them online here. You can also buy them in Sainsburys and Tesco stores around Suffolk, find out which stores are selling tickets here. The Ipswich Buses office in Tower Ramparts, Colchester Tourist Information Centre, Ipswich Tourist Information Centre and Stowmarket Tourist Information Centre are also selling tickets.

How much are tickets on the day?: Adult tickets are £28, senior citizens are £25, young persons ticket (15-18) is £12, and under 15’s go free.

How much is car park? £5

Can I bring my dog?: Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome however they are not permitted in the ringside clubs or food hall. There will be a number points around the ground for your dog to get water.

Will there be cash-points at the show?: There will be mobile cash machines situated around the showground however there will be a withdrawal charge.

What are the biggest attractions?: The show is packed with great things for you to enjoy but here are a few you should make sure you fit into your day.

The Shetland Pony Grand National, The Collins Grand Ring

Watch the Shetland Ponies and their young jockeys come from all over the UK to take part in this event.

Sheridan the sheepdog

Keep an eye out for Sheridan the sheepdog who will be entertaining younger visitors, he can be spotted riding around on his tricycle.

This fast, furious, adrenaline-fulled competition is one you won’t want to miss. Eight teams will race against each other over a course of fences and obstacles.

Bolddog Lings, The Collins Grand Ring

If you like extreme sports and motorcycle displays make sure you head to the Collins Grand Ring at 3.45pm on the Wednesday or 2.30pm on the Thursday. Riders will jump gaps of over 75ft and perform tricks which involve the rider leaving the seat in mid air.

The Farm Discovery Zone

Experience what a day working on one of Suffolk’s farms is like, you will be able to watch cows being milked, learn about baby chicks, get involved with digger games, watch a sheep show and so much more.

What will there be to eat?: You are spoilt for choice with eateries around the showground, here are just a few you can expect.

Eat at the beach

Prepare to be wowed as a beach arrives at Trinity Park! The Adnams Beach Eats is a family favourite, it is a great place to relax in a beanbag or deckchair while the children burn off some steam making sandcastles. There will be a variety of food traders by the beach and Adnams beach themed bars for you to enjoy an ice cold drink in the sun. Ank Marvin’s burgers, Crab Shack, Tikkatonic are just a few of the traders you can expect by the beach.

Eat Street:

This almost mini street food festival has everything your heart could possibly desire from gourmet steak burgers, duck wraps, a barbeque selection, pizza, pancakes and lots more.
