More reports of doorstep callers selling household products and claiming to belong to a rehabilitation scheme have been made in parts of Suffolk.
Suffolk Trading Standards has received reports of ‘Nottingham Knockers’ operating in Ipswich, Kesgrave, Capel St Mary and Woodbridge over the last week.
The individuals claim to belong to a rehabilitation scheme selling household products door-to-door.
The items are often of dubious quality and are offered for sale at hugely inflated prices,
Suffolk Trading Standards advised people to never buy anything at their door and to report individuals on 03454 040506 or to Suffolk police on 101.
Last Thursday, doorstep sellers were said to be targeting areas of Ipswich, Kesgrave and Woodbridge.
The term ‘Nottingham Knockers’ from a scam thought to have originated in the Midlands city.
