Four-year-old Blue has been at the Suffolk RSPCA branch longer than any other dog and in that time not one person has come down to meet him.

At just four years old Blue has found himself in the care of the RSPCA twice, however this time has been his longest stay. Could you make his dreams come true and give him a forever home?

Blue who is a Lurcher crossed Greyhound has been at the RSPCA Suffolk East and Ipswich branch since November 2017- his owners had to give him up as they were no longer able to look after him.

The gorgeous dog is a favourite with staff at the centre due to his loving, affectionate and playful nature.

A spokesperson at the charity said: “We are so sad to still see him in kennels when he is an absolute sweetheart with people. We think the fact he doesn’t get on with other animals including dogs is putting people off, and we haven’t had one person meet him.”

Staff at the centre have found it easier to distract Blue around other dogs with his favourite treat of Primula Cheese.

The lovable four-legged-friend is described as ‘a clever boy’ by the RSPCA as he picks up new things very quickly - he also knows a handful of commands and is eager to learn more.

Blue is muzzle trained, so he will happily walk along wearing one in public. But don’t let the muzzle wearing put you off, it is very common in these breeds and is a responsible step to take when owning this type of dog.

If you fancy taking home this soppy people orientated pooch he will leave microchipped, flead, wormed, neatured and with up-to-date vaccinations.

He will also have a full behaviour modification programme which has been written up by a clinical behaviourist, which will help his new owners manage him easily around other dogs.
