Maui Waui Festival 2017, Peak Hill Farm, Theberton

The festival season is still fully underway, and this weekend marks the fifth Maui Waui Festival bringing culture from across the globe to Suffolk.

This family friendly festival offers lots of entertainment from world-class bands, comedy shows, circus acts and cabaret.

There is something for everyone in this brilliantly decorated festival which celebrates music and art from around the world.

Tickets range between £30 and £90, weekend and day passes are available.

Tractor Fair, Suffolk Food Hall

Almost 5,000 people attended last year’s Tractor Fair, and Suffolk Food Hall has said this will be their biggest festival yet.

There is plenty for the whole family to enjoy, with a great range of vintage and modern tractors to look at, tasty food, drinks and live music from local bands.

Entertainment includes a mobile zoo, face painting, a bounce and fun zone, tractor experiences and much more.

Essex Outdoor Cinema presents Mamma Mia! Maldon Promenade Park

Bring your family, friends and a picnic, and lay under the stars as the Essex Outdoor Cinema takes you back to the 70s.

Enjoy a night of singing along to nostalgic Abba hits that are bound to to entertain the whole family.

The night will begin with music at 7.30pm and the film will follow later at 8.30pm, depending on light conditions.

Standard tickets cost £12, children up to 16-years-old cost £8, and group tickets for 10 cost £120.

Sixth Cider & Wine Festival, Dedham Vale Vineyard

August 26-27

Relax with your friends and family, and experience the delicious range of UK-brewed ciders, perries, local ales and wine from the Essex vineyards.

Throughout the weekend there will be live music ranging from acts such as Frisco Monk, Loxleys Corner, Surfquake and many more.

There will also face painting, story telling, games, a bouncy castle and more to keep your children entertained.

Big Wild Sleep Out on Havergate Island, Woodbridge

A perfect idea for nature lovers, bring the family and camp under the stars on Suffolk’s only island and keep an eye out for the local wildlife.

As part of the event organised by Wild Adventures under Suffolk Skies, you will be able to experience a boat trip, learn about landscape photography, meet Havergate’s wild brown hares, and more.

August Bank Holiday Monday BBQ, Ufford Park Woodbridge Hotel

As the summer is nearing its end, visit the picturesque setting of Ufford Park Hotel with the family and enjoy a delicious BBQ, during the rain or shine.

The day will include tasty food, as well as Jazz from Mr Tim for the adults, and children can enjoy the antics of local entertainer, Mr Bean.

The Wind in the Willows, Hyland House and Estate Chelmsford

Take everyone to see the children’s fantasy story as part of Hyland House’s open-air family theatre.

Your children will be bale to get lost in their imagination as they join Ratty, Mole, Badger and Mr Toad as they save Toad Hall.
