Emmanuel-Thomas and Kisnorbo score in Ipswich Town Under-21s win

IPSWICH Town’s Under-21s won 2-1 at Charlton 2-1 this afternoon.

In front of watching boss Mick McCarthy, Patrick Kisnorbo headed home a Byron Lawrence corner right on the stroke of half-time, then Jay Emmanuel-Thomas added the second in the 68th minute from a Frank Nouble cross.

Ade Azeez pulled one back for the Addicks at the death, heading home after Arran Lee-Barrett had stopped his penalty.

Moldovan international defender Petru Racu and winger Kynan Isaac, from non-league side Banbury United, both played on trial for Town.

IPSWICH TOWN: Lee-Barrett; Racu, Kisnorbo, Mings, Whight, Carson, Hewitt, Lawrence, Isaac (Burke 84), Nouble, Emmanuel-Thomas. Unused: Crowe, Berkane, Marriott, October.
