Bartosz Bialkowski

Was at his absolute best to scramble back and push Tyler Walker’s rebound off the line having initially saved Daryl Murphy’s effort, but had no answer to Kieran Dowell’s stunning free-kick or Walker’s second. He did, though, make two more good saves to deny Murphy, including a late header which he pushed onto the bar. 8

Dominic Iorfa

A much improved display from the right back, highlighted by a superbly-headed goal as he towered above his man at the back post. Got up and down the touchline superbly and worked well with Grant Ward. 8

Jordan Spence

Selected as the man to replace Chambers and, in the main, did well. Missed a header which led to Walker’s chance, saved by Bialkowski, but otherwise played a part in keeping Murphy quiet. 7

Adam Webster

Another excellent display from the former Portsmouth man who was Murphy’s marker in chief. Battled the former Town man both in the air and on the ground, making some vital interceptions as he swept up well, although he was bamboozled by the former Town man in the second period before Bialkowski saved. 8

Jonas Knudsen

Got forward more regularly than in recent weeks, overlapping Celina well, and stood up an excellent cross which Iorfa headed home for Town’s second. 7

Cole Skuse

Took the armband in the absence of Chambers and was once again an effective influence in midfield. Putting his foot in where needed, breaking play down and sending his side out on the attack. 8

Callum Connolly

Two in two games now for the Everton loanee, who pounced to turn the ball home after Martyn Waghorn’s free-kick was palmed into his path. Hassled and harried as always and played the hopeful ball which led to Waghorn’s third for Town. 8

Bersant Celina

Whenever the Manchester City loanee gets the ball you get the feeling something is going to happen. That was true again today as he tapped home well to complete a flowing move involving Huws and Waghorn. 7

Emyr Huws

His best display since his return from injury as he once again performed in an advanced midfield role. Always wanted the ball, creative and looked to drive forward. His pass made Celina’s fourth before he was replaced. 8

Grant Ward

Good stuff again from the former Tottenham man who linked well with Iorfa and made a number of probing runs. Could have made better decisions at times but still played his part well. 7

Martyn Waghorn

Simply superb from the former Rangers man, who took his tally to 10 for the season with a well-placed shot. His all-action afternoon never gave the Forest defenders a moment to breath as he led the line with aplomb in the absence of Joe Garner. Given a standing ovation when replaced late on. 9

Kevin Bru (for Huws, 70)

Came on for Huws for the final 20 minutes and kept things ticking over in the middle to help the Blues see out the win. 7

Freddie Sears (for Waghorn, 80)

Was given the final 10 minutes and picked up where Waghorn left off as he closed defenders down and looked to force errors. 6
