Ipswich Town duo called-up for New Zealand, ahead of Confederations Cup

Ipswich Town duo Tommy Smith and Monty Patterson have been called up by New Zealand, ahead of the All Whites’ participation in the Confederations Cup in Russia, next month.

The Town pair will attend a warm-up camp in Ireland, face Northern Ireland in a friendly in Belfast on Friday, June 2, before taking on Belarus in Minsk in a final friendly on Monday, June 12.

New Zealand have been drawn against Russia, Mexico and Portugal in their Confederations Cup group.

The All Whites kick-off against the hosts on Sunday, June 18 before taking on Mexico four days later. They finish the group against Portugal on Sunday, June 25.
