The vast majority of punters are backing high-flying Derby County to beat Ipswich Town at Portman Road this afternoon (3pm).

The Blues beat the Rams 1-0 at Pride Park back in November – stretching their remarkable unbeaten run there to 10 games – after Callum Connolly’s early goal.

But Gary Rowett’s Rams have been on fire since, keeping five straight clean sheets and dropping just two points, to move into fourth in the table.

That’s reflected in the betting for the game, with more than 70% of punters laying their cash on a Derby win at odds of around 7/5, according to Oddschecker.

Just 14% of bets on the game are for a Town win (43/18), with around the same number laid on the draw at the same odds.

Derby’s Matej Vydra, who is the Championship’s second top scorer with 13 goals, leads the first goalscorer market at 4/1, with Joe Garner Town’s leading option at 6/1.

The bookies are actually tipping a 1-1 draw at around 5/1, followed by a 1-0 Rams win at 6/1. A 1-0 Town win is priced at around 8/1.
