Kesgrave High School pupil Ben Cochran continues to improve apace in the world of karting.

The 12-year-old factory driver for Simon Wright Racing developments is the current the Iame Cadet champion and moved up to Iame X30 class, a huge jump in engine power and chassis size.

In his first year in junior Karting he has managed to finish in the top 10 at each round – no mean feat in a very competitive class.

A keen footballer with AFC Kesgrave he recently had a third place in a very competitive field of 27 drivers over two days taking a pole position in one final, Despite being the youngest driver in the class, he has shown real potential by being a front runner even though he is the youngest driver by almost two years.

Currently leading the mini x 30 championship at Hunts Kart Club, he is also lying sixth in the LGM National championship with three rounds to go.

Next season Ben is taking his skills to Europe where he will compete in the World Karting championship in Italy.
