Ipswich Town beat Nottingham Forest 4-2 at Portman Road in the Championship this afternoon.

The Blues produced a magnificent away display to win 1-0 at Derby County on Tuesday night and move back to within three points of the play-off places.

Nottingham Forest are one place and two points behind in the table (10th) having lost 2-0 at home to Cardiff City last Saturday.

Town will be without suspended duo Luke Chambers and Flynn Downes, while David McGoldrick and Tom Adeyemi remain sidelined.

Forest’s team includes former Blues goal hero Daryl Murphy, the Republic of Ireland international having scored seven goals this season.

Tommy Smith will be watching from afar as Ipswich Town attempt to find a new level of consistency to force their way into the Championship play-offs.
