IPSWICH-based Telemark skier Jasmin Taylor was crowned overall British champion at the British Telemark Championships in Austria earlier this month, consolidating a strong start to her season.

The Colchester-born 18-year-old clinched the title in Rauris, having secured a first place in a French Cup race, in Celliac, France.

British number one Taylor then travelled to Slovenia for the World Cup and competed twice, finishing 12th in both races.

The teenager is now looking forward to spending the coming weeks in Les Houches, France, training with her coach Seb Mansart and working for the British Ski Academy.
