Richardson-Walsh, who was England and GB captain for 13 years and has 375 caps to her name, met a talented group of 16 young JK Hockey players who won a competition through Pitchero.
She spent over three hours working with the group as they explored counter attacking and how to receive the ball in order to go forwards as fast as possible – crucial skills for the modern, fast paced game.
Jamie Kingstone, head coach of JK Hockey, said: “It was inspiring to have such a decorated and well known hockey player such as Kate visit us but most importantly she had all the time in the world for the players.
“They left feeling like they got to know her and that is how you build the next generation of international players”.
