PATRICK Kisnorbo is not leaving Ipswich Town, despite reports to the contrary.

The Australian defender, who is on loan from Leeds, had been reported locally and worldwide to have signed for Chinese club Liaoning Whowin.

However, Ipswich Town have now confirmed there is no truth in the story and the twitter account that released the original story has since been deleted.

“It’s all rubbish. I have never heard of the club or the company either, so I don’t have a clue where the story has come from,” said Kisnorbo.

“I’m here at Ipswich until the end of the season and then I will look at my future after that. All I am concerned about at the moment is doing my best for the club and helping Ipswich move up the table.”

  • I would have thought it was pretty difficult to help Ipswich move up the table if all you do is watch the game from the bench!!

  • Ted - it's a story because No Loans, like most Offshore Investment FC 'fans' must have forgotten he is here. How else can you explain the inexplicable loaning in of yesterday's reject?

  • How is this a story? If my Uncle Sid wanders drunkeny round the Cornhill telling people Ipswich Town will be playing at Carrow Road next season, will you print another article headlined "Ipswich Town to stay at Portman Road"?

  • What is point of him being here on loan if he never starts a game? Another Jason Scotland, albeit not a loanee, who I see has scored yet again.
