This is the 10th transfer window that Mick McCarthy has wheeled and dealed in as Ipswich Town boss, but how many of his 78 signings can you name?

With Rangers striker Joe Garner and Manchester City winger Bersant Celina set to arrive at Portman Road ahead of the 2017/18 campaign, we’ve put together a comprehensive list of all the players McCarthy has landed since his arrival in November 2012.

You’ve got 20 minutes to name as many permanent additions and loanees as possible – just the surname will do. And remember, some of them never actually played for the first team.

Let us know how you did and challenge fellow Blues fans to beat you!

  • 28 Loans and a load of old blokes not one else wanted, and McCarthy and Evans wonder why we haven't been promoted?

  • How about you estimate how much all those signings cost? Surely more than either than Keane or Jewell. someone shine a light the level of incompetence shown by MM and get it out into the wider media.

  • Robson made 12 signings in 10 years. That's how you do it MM and on a budget.

  • Of course not. Surely signing over 7 rejects a year and utterly failing to build a team shows just how useless No Loans is.

  • the very definition of MM, seventy six signings, four years in charge and built nothing in terms of a team. still having to scrape around to get eleven players for the first team for next season. for a manager who has achieved nothing at ITFC he must be getting a percentage of their signing on fees to explain why he still hangs around like a bad smell.
