It’s All About Joanna Lumley next year, as her first ever live tour visits the Ipswich Regent.

The actress and presenter will share some never heard before stories from a career spanning more than four decades and answer your questions.

“The thought of this tour has completely taken over my waking hours. It’s utterly thrilling to start planning the stories I can tell and the rapture - and gratitude, to be fair - with which I shall greet the audiences,” said Joanna, who won two BAFTAs for her role as Absolutely Fabulous’ Patsy Stone.

“Nothing like this has come my way before and I may have to be dragged off with a hook at the end of each show. Oh people! This is especially for you from me, with masses of love. I think it will be fabulous.”

Barely off our TVs since bursting onto screens as Purdey in the New Avengers in 1976, she’s appeared in Coronation Street, On the Buses, Dracula, as a brainwashed Bond Girl in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service and developed a side line as an adventurer and activist.

See Joanna Lumley – It’s All About Me on October 22. Tickets are on sale from 10am tomorrow.

The Regent has also announced an extra date for Dara O’Briain’s new show Voice of Reason.

Tickets for the March 28 gig are on sale now.

Sticking with comedy, there are still a few tickets left for Russell Brand Re:Birth, at the theatre on Monday.

“My whole head feels different and unusual as a result of the birth of my daughter. It has inspired loads of different thoughts,” he said.

“Very early on in the process of writing this show, before I had written or performed any of the stuff about my daughter, I spoke to Jimmy Carr. Jimmy said ‘this is going to be a show about a mad person now having to live a normal life, it’s going to be amazing to hear you talk about normal experiences’.”

Before each show he asks the audience to fill in a survey online and encourages people to do this if you are coming.

“It means I can talk to people about their most intimate and personal details. It shows you that behind the veneer, behind the veil, under the skin, the people of Britain are insane and interesting.”
