Proposals to create a "much-needed" lorry park and container storage unit near the Port of Felixstowe have been approved.
East Suffolk Council has given the green light to a scheme at the site of the former gasworks off the A154 Walton Avenue.
ADP London submitted the proposals to the local authority on behalf of Mr Cakir back in January.
In planning documents submitted alongside the proposals, ADP said the project would "deliver a much-needed lorry car park which will cater for the local community".
The site of the application is only a short drive from the Port of Felixstowe and is a former gasworks, built in the early 1900s.
The planning documents added: "The proposed and existing use of the site will both have the same visual impact on the wider area.
"Given the mobile nature of the use and the overall height and scale of the vehicles when parked on the site along with the four office spaces and its location as part of the port, it is not considered that the resulting visual appearance would be detrimental to the wider character of the area."
East Suffolk approved the plans on Friday.
