A 67-year-old who sent pornographic videos and a man who sold class A drugs are among the criminals to be jailed at Ipswich Crown Court this month.
Martin Rollings
Martin Rollings was sentenced to three years and four months in jail after he engaged in sexual communication with a decoy posing as two schoolgirls.
Rollings, 67, of Roma Avenue in Martlesham Heath, admitted two offences of attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity, two offences of attempted sexual communication with a child, two offences of causing a child to watch a sexual act and two breaches of a sexual harm prevention order.
Ipswich Crown Court was told how he asked one of the girls to send him pictures of her breasts, while he asked the other girl to touch herself sexually.
He was previously jailed for child sex offences in 1990.
Judge Emma Peters said Rollings still had an ingrained interest in children when sentencing him.
Kristian Enchev
Bury St Edmunds man Kristian Enchev was jailed for two-and-a-half-years for drug dealing offences.
Enchev, 31 and of Ipswich Road in the town, was seen driving the wrong way in the Cornhill in the town on June 3, which prompted officers to stop him.
Prosecutor Peter Gair said cocaine weighing 18g was found in the car, while analysis of messages on his phone revealed he was delivering cocaine using the postcode delivering method.
As well as seizing the drugs, Ipswich Crown Court heard that £1,200 was also recovered.
Adolf Ndreca and Kol Ndreca
Adolf Ndreca, 29, and Kol Ndreca, 31, were sentenced to more than a combined seven years in prison for their involvement in cannabis factories in Lowestoft.
The pair, of St Peters Street and Jasmine Green in Lowestoft respectively, admitted to being concerned in the production of cannabis between May 2022 and April this year following the raid of a property in Arnold Street.
Officers executed a warrant at the Drill Hall and inside found 237 plants. A further 107 plants were discovered after a raid in Jasmine Green.
Recorder Richard Conley told Ipswich Crown Court the cannabis factories were a "professional setup".
Adolf Ndreca was jailed for 56 months and Kol Ndreca was jailed for 36 months.
Fabiol Rusta
Fabiol Rusta was jailed for 20 months after he was found in possession of several white rocks in Ipswich.
The 23-year-old, of Wheely's Lane in Birmingham, had been staying in a room in the Suffolk town when he was detained by officers.
Police searched him and found him to be in possession of white rocks wrapped in clingfilm.
After his arrest, officers then searched his room and found multiple white wraps in a plastic bag, £300 in cash and digital scales.
Detective Sergeant Vince Grimsey, of the Serious Crime Disruption Team at Suffolk police, said: “The arrest of Fabiol Rusta was an excellent example of proactive policing, after officers acted on intelligence that a man was believed to be dealing drugs in Ipswich town centre."
Tobias Stevens
Tobias Stevens was jailed for nearly three years for dealing class A drugs in Newmarket.
Stevens, 34, of Howard de Walden Way in Newmarket, pleaded guilty to being concerned in supplying class A drugs between January 27 and February 23 this year.
Detective Sergeant Sarah Wilkins said: “This sentence follows a thorough investigation that led to a guilty plea from Stevens.
"Drug dealing has a hugely detrimental impact on our local communities and can have devastating effects on people’s lives.
"Suffolk Constabulary remains committed to tackling and dismantling all of those involved in drug supply.”
Edgars Slavinskis
Edgars Slavinskis was jailed for more than six years after a violent and unprovoked attack on a man who later died from natural causes.
Slavinskis, 30, fled the country after an attack on Raimonds Gromolds at his home in Harland Street, Ipswich on June 9, 2019.
Mr Gromolds suffered extensive head and facial injuries and damage to his spleen in the attack and died in 2021.
Slavinskis, of Eclipse Court, was arrested at Stansted Airport in April this year and originally faced a charge of murder.
However, the charge was dropped after it was established Mr Gromolds died of natural causes.
After pleading guilty to causing grievous bodily harm to Mr Gromolds with intent, Slavinskis was jailed for six years and eight months.
