A number of flood alerts are in place in part of Suffolk, meaning flooding is possible.

The Environment Agency has issued the alerts along the coast, with people advised to stay away from "risk areas" and take care next to the sea.

An alert is in place from Felixstowe to Clacton, including both Orwell and Stour Estuaries.

The River Deben tidal estuary, between Bawsdey and Ufford, is also under an alert.

Floodgates at Felixstowe seafront have also been closed.

A spokesman for the Environment Agency said: "You are advised to stay away from risk areas, and take care next to the coast.

"We are monitoring the situation closely."
