A flood warning and a number of alerts remain in place across Suffolk.

The Environment Agency has issued the warning for Felixstowe and Bawdsey Quay, with people advised to stay away from "risk areas" and take care next to the sea.

An alert was issued for the area on Sunday but this has since been upgraded to a more severe warning

Floodgates at Felixstowe seafront have also been closed.

A spokesman for the Environment Agency said: "Take care on coastal roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger.

"The current series of high spring tides has now reached its peak, and is currently forecast to fall away over the next few days."

The River Deben tidal estuary, between Bawsdey and Ufford, is also under an alert.

Alerts have also been issued for parts of Leiston and Southwold.
