Flood alerts are in place along parts of the Suffolk coast.

The Environment Agency has issued three alerts for areas of the county, meaning flood possible in some areas.

Alerts are in operation between Felixstowe and Clacton, including along the River Orwell and River Stour estuaries, as well as the River Deben.

Part of the coast at Southwold is also under an alert.

Flooding is possible between 1am and 3am.

A spokesman for the Environment Agency said: "Take care on coastal roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger."

The authority does not expect the situation to escalate further.
