A school in Ipswich raised more than £1,700 for a cancer charity by celebrating the Blues' promotion to the top flight.
Students and staff at Copleston High School donned Ipswich Town tops on Wednesday to fundraise for Cancer Support Suffolk, formerly Cancer Campaign in Suffolk.
The event, which was originally set for later in the year, was brought forward to celebrate the Tractor Boys' promotion into the Premier League at the weekend.
Students were asked to bring along with them £1, which a tutor would collect from them and give to the charity.
Principal of the school Andy Green outlined the school's reasons for the initiative.
He said: "We have lost colleagues and friends over the years to this terrible illness and most of us will know someone who has been affected by cancer."
Cancer Support Suffolk is located at Ipswich Hospital and it provides information, practical advice, emotional support and educational opportunities to people from the community.
The charity's chief executive Mark Murphy MBE has been working with Ipswich Town to bring about more awareness for cancer.
