One of the best-known restaurants in Suffolk is celebrating after being singled out as one of the most notable in the UK in a prestigious guide.

Maison Bleue, in Bury St Edmunds, has revealed it is set to feature in Harden’s UK Restaurant Survey 2014.

The comprehensive guide focuses on almost 3,000 restaurants in the UK, with views and ratings based on customer reviews.

The restaurant, in Churchgate Street, is owned by East Anglia’s leading chef and restaurateur, Regis Crepy, and Pascal and Karine Canevet, who have run the business for the past 16 years.

Mrs Canevet said the national recognition will provide a “huge boost” to staff at the restaurant.

“It is a very respected guide and is based on what customers think of our food and service, so we are delighted to have been included,” she said. “Hopefully it shows we are going in the right direction.”
