An Ipswich comedy club which celebrates its 10th anniversary this month is moving to a new venue to mark the occasion.
Jokers Comedy Club, set up by friends Martin Cook and Darren Cook, hosts comedians from the national circuit for monthly events.
Now, having had stints at The Manor Ballroom and Foxhall Community Centre, the club will be hosting its first show at Venue 77 next to the Gardeners Arms in Fore Hamlet this Sunday.
Kevin Clarke, new owner and one of the directors, said: “Venue 77, on Fore Hamlet is nearer the centre of Ipswich town making Jokers now even more accessible. We are also looking to introduce our regular comedy acts to the student population nearby too.”
Doors open at 7.30pm on Sunday, April 2, with Jeremy O’Donnell, Jack Shanik and Sol Bernstein, with Paul Ricketts compere for the evening.
