Whether you’re celebrating with a traditional Irish jig or getting in a round of Guinness, hundreds of people will be celebrating St Patrick’s Day across Suffolk tonight.
Decorations including shamrocks and Irish flags will certainly be aplenty in pubs and bars.
We’ve collated a selection of pictures from across Ipswich and Colchester from the last 25 years.
St Patrick’s Day - a public holiday in Ireland - dates back to the early 17th Century and celebrates Saint Patrick and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland.
One of the most famous celebrations worldwide for St Patrick’s day is the yearly dying of the Chicago River. The river is dyed bright green to commemorate the number of Irish people that migrated to Chicago in the early 20th Century.
