People living in Ipswich and Colchester are being invited to learn more about new cultures with a series of storytelling and percussion workshops.
Arts La’Olam, based in Ipswich, is hosting a six-week programme ending on July 8 with the help of two professional African artists, Griot Chinyere and Abass Dodoo.
Children and adults of all abilities are invited to the workshops to experience Nigerian and Ghanian heritage storytelling, alongside percussion and drumming.
Sessions are taking place every Monday from 10am-12pm at The Smokehouse in Ipswich and every Wednesday from 7pm-9pm at Firstsite in Colchester.
Mr Dodoo, who comes from the family of Royal Master Ghanaian Drummers, is an internationally touring drummer.
He is founder and director of OneDrum, the most famous West African drumming troupe in Britain.
The pair will round their appearances off with the Global Rhythms Festival being hosted in Christchurch park on July 8 from 12pm.
