A Felixstowe teenager who was involved in the supply of drugs has been given a suspended sentence.

Callum Baker, 19, was arrested after he was seen by police officers with known drug users and counting from a bundle of bank notes, Ipswich Crown Court heard.

Baker, of Undercliff Road West, admitted possessing heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply on May 15. He was given 16 months’ detention in a young offenders’ institution suspended for 18 months and ordered to do 120 hours’ unpaid work and given a curfew order.

Andrew Jackson, prosecuting, said Baker admitted the offences on the basis he was acting as “custodian” for 18 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin and was given the drugs to hold onto temporarily.

Mr Jackson said Baker admitted supplying cannabis on a commercial basis. He said texts from Baker’s mother and grandmother expressed their disgust and shame at his involvement.
