Traffic is moving after a level crossing barrier that became stuck in Felixstowe was freed.
Beach Station Road in Felixstowe was blocked both ways between the A14 Port of Felixstowe Road junction and Langer Road while Walton Avenue was closed in both directions between Felixstowe Dock Gate One and Langer Road.
The closure was due to a level crossing failure.
A Network Rail spokesman confirmed the line is closed for engineering work.
