Southwold has been voted one of the best beaches to take your dog in the UK despite them being banned from April 1 and September 30.

The UK’s leading pet emergency service, Vet Now, has named Southwold Pier as one of the safest dog friendly beaches.

However, make sure your four legged friend stays hydrated in the heat.

Claremont Pier

Vet Now has said Claremont Pier is also one of the best dog friendly beaches in the UK.

However, they are banned from certain areas of the beach from May 1 and September 30.

Walberswick beach

With Walberswick beach being so close to the village your pooch can enjoy the local park, as well as the beach.

Heading to check out the shops might be a good idea if your dogs paws get too hot on the sand.
