PARENTS today spoke of the inconvenience caused by the teachers' decision to strike.

Karen Taylor, of Radcliffe Drive, Ipswich, pictured above with daughter Megan, said she had to take a day off work as a result of the strike as her son's classes at Gusford Primary were cancelled. She said: “It has inconvenienced me a bit.

“Obviously I have got to forego work for a day because I have got to keep my son at home.”

Liz Rivett, of Devlin Road, Ipswich, said her daughter's classes had been cancelled.

“She's coming to work with me today, which puts me out a bit.”

Another woman, who did not wish to be named, said her son was not very happy as his sister was not going to school while his classes were going ahead.
