There was a time when a menacing, toothy grin would suffice - but now pumpkin carving has become an art form in itself.
From crooked, haunted houses to arched cats and meancing faces, a growing collection of Jack O’Laterns are appearing on doorsteps around Suffolk and north Essex this week.
We have teamed up with Friday Street Farm, just off the A12 near Aldeburgh, to bring you a selection of the best pumpkins ahead of Halloween tomorrow.
