Memory
Growing up in Suffolk, I feel very privileged to have spent a childhood in the countryside. There are so many wonderful memories.
Some of my favourite are of course spending so much time inside Framlingham Castle. As a child it felt like such a magical place and to have your auntie living there made it even more magical!

Landmark
It has to be Framlingham Castle and Framlingham College.
The two places that are held dear to my heart. I have so many wonderful memories of running around the castle and everyday after school I would walk from Framlingham College to the castle to spend the evening with my auntie.
My husband and I still visit the college as often as we can. It is where we met and both of us have such fond memories of the school.
When I went there my dad had just passed away and the teachers and the friends I met really made such a difference. It means so much that Slava and I met there, it is such a special place for us. Also being a huge Harry Potter fan, it is nice it looks so much like Hogwarts. The Hogwarts of Suffolk!

Beach
Walberswick brings back lots of fond memories and I love when we go how quiet it is. When I was little I used to go crabbing there with my dad.
They also have the nicest fish restaurant across the river, Sole Bay. I always enjoy getting the boat across and having fresh fish lunch there.

Town or village
Most of my family lived in Framlingham or near by, my parents even lived in the house opposite the college long before I was born, so Framlingham is in my blood I think.
However moving back and finding the most beautiful home in Felixstowe has opened my eyes to the town.
It does sometimes get overlooked, because of Aldeburgh and Southwold (I absolutely love those towns too as they were a large part of my childhood) but living in Felixstowe now has made me see how fantastic it is.

Place to eat
There are so many to choose from. I really love The Fox and Goose at Fressingfield - we usually go there for lunch and the food and service is always amazing.
I also really enjoy The Bildeston Crown, again the food is always brilliant.
Alba Chiara in Felixstowe is a traditional authentic Italian, run by Stefan and Flavio from Sardinia. This wonderful restaurant kept us going through lockdown when they delivered meals. They have authentic Italian recipes and the pinsa pizza is one of the best I have tasted.

Pub
One of my favourites is the Ferry Boat Inn in Old Felixstowe. Slava and I love to walk there from our home on a sunny day.

Attraction or Day Out
Being a huge animal and horse lover, I enjoy anything where I can interact with animals. I really enjoy visiting Easton Farm Park or The Suffolk Punch Trust

Event
The Suffolk Show is the highlight event in Suffolk for me. I always enjoy it so much and it brings back so many memories from my childhood.
My dad, because he grew up as a farmer, would take me every year. He really loved it and really enjoyed seeing the tractors and the farm equipment.
This year was special as I sang on the final day.

Shop
For food I do like Friday Street Farm Shop on the way to Aldeburgh. They always have such lovely local food and you can pick strawberries in the summer.
I also really like their cafe, it is always a nice place to go on a Saturday.
For clothes, my favourite place is Collen and Clare in Southwold. When I was little mum and dad used to take me in there and buy me something special!

Export
Gressingham duck. We have this most weeks and I really like that they are a family run farm and have priority for the welfare of their flock. We also like to buy their geese and turkeys for Christmas.
I really enjoy their recipes too. I like to cook so it is a really nice touch when they send you a recipe booklet.
