FIRFIGHTERS were called to put out a field fire that engulfed more than 15 acres of standing crops at Brook Farm, Flowton Road, Flowton.Three appliances from Princes Street, Ipswich, and another from Colchester Road, Ipswich, attended the fire, which was reported just after noon on Saturday.

The fire was brought under control by 12.52pm, with two hose reels being used. No one was injured in the fire.
