A 15-year-old boy was allegedly accosted while walking in Ipswich town centre.As he was walking along Foundation Street, Ipswich, yesterday afternoon he noticed a man sitting on the pavement.

A 15-year-old boy was allegedly accosted while walking in Ipswich town centre.

As he was walking along Foundation Street, Ipswich, yesterday afternoon he noticed a man sitting on the pavement. As he passed the man he got up and started following him.

Feeling concerned, the boy started to walk faster but was followed by the man towards Sainsburys and then the Buttermarket.

The man eventually ran off in a different direction. He is described as a white male, 28 years old, 5ft 11ins tall with shaved light brown/grey hair. He wore blue jeans and a beige shirt.

The area was busy with pedestrians and the police would like to hear from anyone who either witnessed this incident or recognises the man from the description. Calls should be made to PC Becky Adams at Ipswich Police Station on 01473 613500 or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
