A JURY today took less than half an hour to clear a teenage boy of sexually assaulting a pupil at an Ipswich school.

The jury of nine women and two men returned not guilty verdicts on a charge of indecent assault and two charges of common assault in just 21 minutes.

Judge John Holt, sitting at Ipswich Crown Court, formally returned a not guilty verdict on the fourth count of intimidating a witness.

The 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was discharged from the court.

During the trial the court heard that a girl had accused the boy of pinning her against a wall and forcing his hand down her trousers at knifepoint.
