A longstanding landscaping business has submitted plans to Ipswich Borough Council for a new store building.
The plans were submitted by Lumberjacks Limited, a fencing, landscaping and garden supplies company who currently operate in 801 Bramford Road and have done for the past two decades.
The proposals would see the construction of a bigger store building following the demolition of the existing workshop as well as an extended bell mouth entrance to the site.
In a design and access statement the company have stated the expansion of the site is necessary to support sustainable growth.
The statement says: “The proposal is a wholly deliverable prospect, increasing the effective use of land providing an economic uplift to the area, without undue harms.
“The benefits presented would not be outweighed, by any measure, by any identifiable adverse impacts.”
It also goes on to stress the economic and social benefits of the plans through boosting local trade and supporting local services, and job creation.
The application is now under consideration by the council’s planning team with a decision target date set for October 29.
