The planned opening of Clifford Road Tunnels in Ipswich at the weekend was cancelled due to an ongoing issue.
While the issue remains unspecified, the team has expressed hope for the opening to occur as scheduled on the weekend of October 12 and 13.
The team behind the tunnels has apologised for the inconvenience as people may have been planning to visit.
The network of tunnels can be found underneath Clifford Road Primary School in east Ipswich.
Positioned beneath the school playground, the unique experience features three separate tunnel networks, all waiting to be discovered by the public.
Recently, additional shelter tunnels that have remained untouched for more than 80 years were found on the premises, with plans to add these historical finds to the current offering.
The aim is to bring this hidden history to a wider and inclusive audience.
Open days are typically held on the second weekend of summer months to allow for members of the public to see the tunnels for themselves.
