An Ipswich Park playground has been upgraded after more than two months of work.
The playground at Stonelodge Park, off Royston Drive in Chantry in south-west Ipswich, was closed to allow council workers to start work on a new playground on Thursday, July 11.
The new playground has now been completed and the team will be working to remove the old play area in the coming months - which will become a grassed area.
An Ipswich Borough Council spokeswoman said: "The work to upgrade Stonelodge Park’s play area has been finished, with the play area open earlier this week and ready to enjoy.
"With the design taking its inspiration around the park’s duck pond, the new play area encourages children of all ages and abilities to swing, jump, swim, rock and spin amongst the fish and be on the lookout for wildlife."
The park, which has a large duck pond and play area, was closed for the duration of the school summer holidays.
