An 88-year-old man was arrested today on suspicion of murder following the discovery of the body of an elderly woman, police said.
An 88-year-old man was arrested today on suspicion of murder following the discovery of the body of an elderly woman, police said.
Police were called to a house in Manor Road in Sandown, on the Isle of Wight, shortly after 7.30am where the woman's body was found.
A spokeswoman for Hampshire Police said the man is being held in custody at a local police station.
