A strange coincidence is on the horizon for a group of Ipswich musicians.
The Trianon Music Group and Anglia Singers are due to visit the West Midlands this week for a concert in the 19th Century Belmont Abbey.
By chance shortly after the group are due to finish the concert a programme called Retreat: Meditations from a Monastery will start on BBC Four.
The programme will not only focus on Belmont, where the group are due to play, but will also feature the nephew of Trianon Music Group’s artistic director Professor Chris Green who is a brother at the monastery.
As well as the BBC Four programme Professor Green’s nephew, who is also from Ipswich, will also feature on a series of short pieces on BBC Radio 3.
The Trianon Music Group are currently taking part in a series of concerts in the West Midlands and will follow up the visit to Belmont Abbey with four further concerts in Worcester.
