Foxhall Stadium is a haven for the petrolheads in East Anglia. It is currently home to the Ipswich Witches Speedway team and the monthly stock car racing events.
Originally built in 1950, Foxhall stadium played host to horse racing on a weekly basis, then in 1966 the track was resurfaced for stock car racing. We’ve gone through the archives and collected a selection of events from the stadium, so take a look at the races, crashes and collisions from across the last 40 years.
Our first pictures show bangers and caravan racing back at the Birtish stock car championships in July 1986.
And next we see an unusual attraction at Foxhall - a circus set up there in October 1983 to entertain families.
