As the England team prepare to trudge back from South Africa with their tales between their legs, a more agile looking squad are making themselves at home.
Zebras from a South African game reserve have been relocated to Colchester Zoo’s UmPhafa Private Nature Reserve, in KwaZulu Natal.
The reserve has been created by the zoo’s Action for the Wild charity and has already welcomed 65 animals.
Among the 21 zebras were at least two adult males, six sub-adults of undetermined gender, and adult females, of which five appeared to be pregnant.
The UmPhafa Reserve plans to release 40 zebras into the wild this year.
