MOTORISTS using the A12 are to face diversions for the rest of today following an earlier collision.About 6.45am today a lorry, carrying a digger, crashed into a bridge between Foxhall and Seven Hills roundabouts.
POLICE have confirmed the A12 at Brightwell could remain closed for the rest of today following an earlier collision.
About 6.45am today a lorry, carrying a digger, crashed into a bridge between Foxhall and Seven Hills roundabouts.
The digger fell of the back of the lorry, damaging the bridge and blocking the road.
Police have now said the southbound carriageway is likely to remain closed for the rest of the day while engineers assess the bridge and a crane is brought in to remove the lorry.
