Emergency services spent almost two hours tackling an abandoned car which was found alight beside the A14 in Suffolk.
Suffolk police said it received reports of a vehicle burning on the grass verge beside the eastbound carriageway in the Seven Hills area, to the east of Ipswich, at around 12.20am this morning.
Four Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service crews were also reported to have attended, and were said to have dealt with the incident by 2am.
A police spokesman said traffic was reduced to one lane during the incident, though it caused little disruption as few vehicles were on the road.
