TRAFFIC has been held up on the A14 after two road accidents blocked both lanes of the Felixstowe-bound carriageway today .
Emergency services were called to the Orwell Bridge following a crash between a motorcyclist and a car shortly after 1.15pm. A woman, believed to be the motorcycle rider, is being treated for injuries to her arms.
At 1.50pm, crews were called to the section of the road at the Wherstead turn-off, where a second accident involving at least three vehicles, including a transit van, caused further chaos.
Firefighters attended and freed two people trapped inside vehicles.
Ambulance crews took two patients to hospital, but the extent of their injuries is not yet known, and treated a child with minor injuries on the scene.
