The A14 Orwell Bridge has reopened after a lorry broke down earlier this afternoon, police have said.

The lorry broke down “on the top of the bridge” on the A14 eastbound at 4.05pm, police said.

The inside lane was closed by police for around 45 minutes at the scene, causing delays. Traffic was able to overtake in the outside lane.

The lorry was towed by police to a nearby layby, where it is currently waiting to be recovered.

The road was fully reopened at 4.50pm, police said.
