POLICE have today released the name of a man killed in a road accident at Haughley on Saturday. Jason Barnes, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene when emergency services attended the single-vehicle accident on the A14.

POLICE have named the man killed in a road accident on the A14 at Haughley on Saturday as Jason Barnes, 36, of Southminster, Essex.

Mr Barnes, died when the silver Nissan Navara he was driving left the road and collided with trees and the central reservation just after midnight.

A 22-year-old passenger in the vehicle, also from South Minster, is in West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds, in a stable but serious condition.
