A MAIN road linking Ipswich to Norwich was closed this morning after a collision in Long Stratton that caused long tailbacks in both directions.
A green sports car collided with a lorry on the A140, The Street, at the junction with St Michael's Road at 7.35am.
The male driver of the car was cut free from his vehicle and taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Despite both vehicles being removed from the road by 10am the A140 remained closed until around 12.45pm.
The collision caused long tailbacks for rush hour traffic and a diversion was put in place.
