Mother of three Mrs Sparkes was last week fighting for her life after her car collided with a lorry and ploughed into a pub.

The 36-year-old was driving to her Wyverstone home in Church Road at around 7am from her job as a nurse when the accident happened at Stoke Ash crossroads near Eye.

Norwich man Tony Cassidy, 47, who was involved in another accident at the spot six days later is in a stable condition at Ipswich hospital. His Ford Granada car was in collision with a horse box just a few hundred yards from the place where Mrs Sparkes was injured.

His passenger, teenager Tony Slattery, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital and is today still in a critical condition.
