Animal cruelty investigators are examining CCTV footage after a dog was abandoned at a service station.
The two-year-old lurcher was tied to drainpipe by a piece of rope for 90 minutes on Sunday before being found by a paramedic.
The frightened and shivering dog was taken from the Four Went Ways A11 service station to an animal shelter in Godmanchester, where it has been named Roxy.
The shelter said the dog was uninjured, but a little underweight.
Anyone with information about the incident or any other act of animal cruelty can contact the RSPCA on 0300 1234 999.
